After careful consideration of a range of factors, including the Federation’s recent initiatives with respect to equity, diversity, inclusion, and decolonization (EDID), the CAFS Board has made the decision to join Congress in 2022. Congress 2022 will be held virtually from May 12th to 20th. More specific dates for the CAFS meeting will follow in the weeks ahead.

We are now looking for one or two CAFS members who would be willing to join the Conference Coordinating Committee. The primary responsibility of the Conference Coordinators will be to work with the CAFS Board and Congress conference liaisons to undertake conference planning.

General responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing call for abstracts, submission review and schedule
  • Development of creative sessions
  • Organizing keynotes and plenaries
  • Supporting regional in-person viewing/gatherings
  • Development of sponsorship

If you are interested in joining the Conference Coordinating Committee, please send an email expressing your interest to Michael Classens by Wednesday, November 15th.

This call is open to any and all members of CAFS (graduate students, faculty, practitioners, etc.) Previous conference organizing experience would be appreciated but is not required.
