You’re invited to the 2023 CAFS Pre-Conference!

Are you interested in Food Studies? Do you want to build your academic network, think in new directions, or find a community of others facing early-career challenges? Do you want a smaller space to build relationships before the full CAFS conference? If you answered yes to any of these questions, the 2023 Pre-Conference is for you.

Taking place on May 29, 2023, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, this one-day event is a great opportunity for focused exchange about the issues you care about (and a nice way to make new food friends).

What to expect:

The morning will include discussions with Food Studies academics, professionals, and community leaders. The afternoon will include lunch and a university campus garden tour at University of Toronto and Toronto Metropolitan University. Following the tour, there will be an opportunity for Pre-Conference attendees to gather in downtown Toronto for an evening social.

Logistics:

The 2023 Pre-Conference is open to all students, postdocs, and emerging researchers (including new faculty, sessionals, and community-based researchers).

Registration for the Pre-Conference is now closed.

You may email the organizers directly at preconference@foodstudies.ca.
